1 on every blog post. Searchers have gotten tired of this type of content.
This leads to poor user signals that Google notices. In May 2021, WB Beginner was at its peak 2.6 million clicks a month from Google.
Since then, it's gone down down down, down, down. Now it's at 32,000 clicks a month from Google.

Then the answer. So after 2,000 words, you scrolling sifting, you'd finally get your answer.

It was just more of the type of stuff that searchers didn't like. The results were clear.
If you put yourself No. 1 in listicles, do it transparently.
Do it with an article that comes off as well researched. Don't make your No.
