A major e-commerce retailer had car abandonment problem. They brought in a UX researcher named Jared Spool to find out why.

What he found stopped everyone in the room. 45% of their customers had multiple accounts on the same site, and they can remember which one they'd use.

Password reset requests were hitting hundred and sixty thousand per day. One register button.

That was the entire problem. It sat between the customer and the purchase.

And millions of people just left. They removed the register button, replaced it with one word: continue.

Added one line: "You don't need a create account to make purchases on our website." Sales went up 45%. 15 million extra in month one, 300 million in year one.

Was the register button legally required? No.

Required by a payment processor? No.

It was inherited UX from a different era. And it cost him 300 million before someone finally asked: why was it there?

So how much is your version of that button worth?

I hate to say it, but we spent nearly $18,000 in the last year and a half on marketing and SEO through different agencies locally. And that did nothing, did not get the phone to ring.

Nothing happened, banging my head against a wall trying to figure out what I'm actually paying for per month. Decided to take the leap on the compact keyword class.

Wasn't sure what to expect, but I'd been listening to his podcast for over 55 days and that's all I listened to in my headphones at work. And so decided to do it.

Things are great. The best part is going through Maws and some of the other features that Edward shows you how to use in the compact keyword class.

We are now ranking and outranking the local SEO agency who also runs a pressure washing company up here in several high-intent keyword categories...

From the last seven days I have 222,000 impressions. Posting on LinkedIn is so easy.

You can bang out five posts really fast in 30 minutes. I don't know how long this will last, but LinkedIn seems to be a goldmine for getting visibility right now.

Three ways of reframing your price 12 a year becomes three dollars and forty five cents a day. 7:00 20 for the team becomes $5 per employee.

$12 a week becomes three lattes a week. Using a smaller font for the price makes it seem like less money.

Dollar signs trigger pain of pain. Leaving dollar signs off signage can persuade more people to buy, as it reduces association with losing money.

Abbreviated numbers appear you're smaller. Numbers in red feel like a bargain.

By the way, the opposite for these things is true. If you want your numbers to appear larger, don't shorten them.

Use the long version. And keep in mind that high prices makes us believe it's higher quality.
