A lot of companies out there are still ignoring AI and not taking it seriously. But the clever ones, the guys that are taking a view and know what AI can offer are really taking it to the next level.

Today in South Africa, Sunlam, one of the biggest and most well known companies in the country, announced that they had appointed a Group Chief AI Officer. Now this is massive news, what Salah are telling the market and I think the clever people already know that it's time to take AI from the experimental to the execution level.

If you haven't started putting AI into your company, you really have to start doing it straight away. AI is here to stay.

You have to start learning it. You have to start getting on top of it.

If you don't know about AI, start watching videos, start reading about it or get people to teach it to you because AI is really here and it's going to change every single business and you have to be on top of it.

Ask maps, it's out, it's happening. Ask maps is like having AI mode in Google Maps.

You can have conversations with maps to plan trips, research local businesses and much more. So we need to think about, uh, monitoring visibility, but not just visibility, we need to monitor sentiment via what we're seeing in Ask Maps.

And again, the same things as always. We need to ensure that our Google Business Profile is up to date and accurate, that our listings and our citations are up to date and accurate.

If you are in the United States or anywhere other country where they have this, go and ask it about your business. Ask it, what does it know about your business?

I think that's really critical. And then if it's like, it doesn't know that you do this special thing, be like, I gotta tell it and I'm gonna do it by putting that on my website.

Another thing I'm very interested in is how do the results vary? If I just go to ask maps in the maps app and I say Denver plumbers, your favourite search term ever, how do the results look in the ask maps versus the actual results just in maps?...

Based on the fact you're ranking in the US, but like, nowhere else, I'm gonna assume you've just blocked an entire country here. A huge amount of people use VPN, so all of these rankings totally wasted on them.

Block IPs if you have to. Not entire countries.

Google have launched this brand new AI tool, which I'm sure is gonna put a lot of people out of business. It's called Pomelli.

Now in order to find it, you have to go through Google Labs and it's not available to all countries. I'm in South Africa and in order to use it, I had to use a VPN.

Once you are in Pomelli, it's very simple to use. You're gonna see that there's an option to create an AI photo shoot.

What I've decided to do is use this great brand over here, Psycho Bunny, and I'm gonna put a few different options in there. The first thing I'm gonna do is download a shirt and put it there, press photoshoot, use some styles and then press create.

Look at this. It's created a photoshoot with models.

Amazing. I'm going to do this a few times over just with a different type of polo shirts.

And again, the results are just great. I mean, this is really, really powerful.

What we're talking about today is how to expand local service area pages and especially if you want to expand into a location that's really far away, let's say across the country. It's just like you currently are a plumber, you work in a suburb of Denver, so you work in Aurora, Colorado, you're like, I really want to rank in Denver, forget it, just give up.
