Everyone's talking about loop engineering, but most people don't understand why and how it works. Most people don't realize that developers are using at the ship features eight time faster, and it's not because they can code more.

They stop prompting their AI and are using loop system in order to prompt for them. Here's how it works right now.

When you use a coding agent, you type in a prompt and then read the output, and you type the next prompt. You're basically waiting at every step in our huge bottleneck.

Loop engineering means you build the system that finds the work, hands it to an agent, checks the result with the real test, records what happened, and decides the next move on its own. You design it once in, the system, prompts the agent from that point forward.

But you need four things in place before you build one. The task has to repeat at least weekly.

You need an automated check that can fail bad work without you being in the room. You need a state file so that runs resume instead of restarting.

And you need a hard stop so that the loop does not burn tokens forever...

It scans your test failures, classifies each one, draft fixes for the easy ones, and escalates the rest to you. And here are the two traps that burn most people.

A loop without a real gate is just an agent agreeing with itself on repeat. And the faster the loop ships code that you did not write, the bigger the gap between what your repo has and what you actually understand.

So take something like a simple Denver plumbing website. I just hit the little d and then I get all of this detail.

I can see the title tag, the meta description. I really like the word count.

Give me a sense of how many words are on this page. And click up here and I can see all of the headings on the page.

So you can see right out of the gates, that's not a very good H1. I can see all the different H2s on the page and the different headings on the page.

Some of these are not very good at all. I love to look at the images.

You can see that so many of the images are missing. The alt tags, internal links versus external links.

I can see all of those on the page. The social sharing image for the page.

So if this page was shared, then you'd see this image and tons of other details. It's simple, it's free, and it's one of those tools that makes quick SEO checks way easier.

Most people don't realize the reason their AI agents and automations give inconsistent answers is because they're not testing them properly. You build something, it works once, you ship it, and then it gives a completely different answer the next day, even with the same input.
