Some marketers guess, but smart marketers test introducing split testing for smart plus campaigns. Now you can compare different creative targeting, bidding, and more and let performance pick the winner. Here's how to set up split testing in TikTok Ads Manager.

Choose a conversion objective. We'll choose our budget strategy. Then toggle on Create Split Test.

Under what do you want to test, you can select from smart plus modules like Creative, Budget, Strategy, and more. You can also choose custom settings for multivariate testing. Let's go ahead and test creative.

Now let's set up the rest of our campaign, including dropping in our first test video. Hit publish all. Then you'll see this confirmation window.

Hit continue and you'll be directed back to the campaign creation page. Now it's time to change the variable we're testing, in this case, the creative. We'll upload a new video to test against the first one.

Click publish all again. You'll now see this window. Set your test schedule and choose the key metric you want to compare between the two campaigns.

We recommend running split tests for at least 14 days. After you hit save and continue, your split test is now scheduled. To see the results, go to analytics in the navigation bar and click Experiment Manager.

Once your test is complete, the system will identify the top performing campaign based on your test variable and chosen metric. And there you have it. Split testing with Smart Plus gives you the Clarity to optimize your ads confidently and grow what works best.

Try it today in TikTok Ads Manager.
