I'm gonna need you to listen to me when I tell you that your ecommerce website does not need a blog to rank on Google or ChatGPT. It's such a waste of time, money, resources, everything. I'm gonna show you exactly what it is that you should be doing, because all of the most successful ecommerce stores do this and once I explain it to you, you're not gonna be able to unsee it.
If you sell products, you can do this. First, get a list of all of your product. I'm gonna assume you've already optimised all these pages.
If you haven't, my God, add that to your to do list. And if you've got one, fire your SEO Agency immediately. Then you're gonna group these products by logical categories.
You might already have these as your main collection pages, but a lot of the time this is where people stop and that's what they're missing. What you need to do from here is drill down these collection pages so you get as niche as possible. We're talking sub categories of sub categories of sub category.
Creating these collections and then optimising them is a huge task in itself, but it's gonna generate more relevant rankings and traffic to your website than any blog post is going to. The more products you have, the more you can run with this. Once you've exhausted all your options, you could move on to having branded collection pages.
Fabric or material based collection pages? Colour based collection pages. There's so many places you can go with this.
Tell me what you sell in the comments and I'll give you some examples.
