Did you know that if it wasn't for the Super Bowl, YouTube might never have existed in 2,004? During the halftime show, Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson were performing and the famous Nipplegate incident happened. A few days later, a guy who would later become one of the founders of YouTube was online looking for a video clip of the incident, but he got frustrated because he couldn't find anything.
And that's apparently where the idea for YouTube came. Fast forward two years later to 2,006. 65 billion.
Now, fast forward 20 years later, as we know, YouTube is massive. It's so massive that that price that people said Google were mere to pay, YouTube generated a revenue every single 10 days. Some other crazy stats, and I couldn't believe it until I researched it, that YouTube hosts about 3 billion videos every minute.
There are about 500 hours of videos uploaded and it's one of the most popular websites in the world. Now, as I said, this might never have happened if it wasn't for the Super Bowl.
