Who owns anthropic? The company behind Claude? Anthropic is a privately owned AI company that was started by ex OpenAI employees including brother and sister Dario and Daniela Amodei who still lead the company today.
Anthropic is not owned by one or two people. The ownership is shared by the founders and employees, venture capital companies as well as major tech companies, including huge investments from Google and Amazon. As of 2026, the company is valued at a massive $380 billion.
Now as we know, Claude is a major player in the AI race and AI technology. I personally love Claude and I've been using it for a while and it's going to be interesting who wins this AI race. Is it going to be Claude?
Is it going to be Gemini? Is it going to be ChatGPT? I personally am going to put my money on anthropic and Claude because I just think the technology and the ownership is really amazing.
