This is proof that you don't need to know anything about SEO to rank on Google and get recommended by AI. This website is ranking No. 2 for a competitive keyword and is getting recommended for AI overviews.

The craziest part is that this is just a one page website. Like literally this is all there is. There's no meta description.

There's only 35 words on the page and one heading, one tag. And no, the site does not have a ton of backlinks. It only has, but I figured out why Google is ranking it and it's very sneaky.

So the way this website works is you put in your website and your competitor's website, scans all the backlinks on both websites and tells you how many backlinks your competitor has that you don't. There are two reasons why this website is ranking despite the bad SEO. The first one is I posted about it on social media and a bunch of people went to this website.

The second one is that a bunch of people filled out this form and Google is using that data to decide who ranks higher in the search results. So your goal shouldn't be to get people to your website. It should be to get people to your website and get them to take a conversion action.
