I never send follow UPS to clients once I've done the proposal and I know that they've received it. Now, there's a few reasons why I don't do follow UPS. No.
1, I'll think that if a person wants to do business with me, they've got my proposal, they know what my prices are and they know how to contact me. No matter what I do, it's not gonna change that. The second thing is I don't want to come across as desperate.
I don't think anyone wants to do business with a desperate person. And I think majority of the times when people follow up, it comes across as desperate. I don't want to get into the friend zone area with the client.
Now with regards to the friend zone, you know what I mean with regards to relationships, but with regards to client supplier relationships as well, there is that friend zone. What I mean by the friend zone is that you think, Ja, the guy is going to sign up with me and they string you along and string you along. No, I don't want to do that at all.
And finally, the reason why I don't do follow UPS is that I want to focus on generating more leads and more business with people that want to do work with me. I'd rather put my efforts into closing more sales. Let me know your thoughts.
