In 2026, I'm saying no more often to clients and business. I'm not saying no because I don't want more business. I'm saying no because I want the right type of business and the right type of yeses.

Towards the end of last year, I finally realised after years of doing it that by saying yes too often and taking on the business that I did not really like, I wasn't creating a space for the type of clients that I really do like working with. Now this is not only in a metaphorical way, it's also in a physical way. I realised that I was using my energies in the wrong way.

My time is obviously very limited as well. And most importantly, I wasn't creating a space for the ideal type of client that I wanted. I realised that when I started saying no to the type of business that I didn't want, my energy could be used in better ways.

Most importantly, I could create a space for the right type of clientele that I really wanted to work with. I've opened up a space that I'm starting to attract the right type of clients that we want. I don't want the time wasters.

I don't want horrible type of people and I don't want low payers. I want to take my work to the next level. And by saying no more often, this really has helped me.
