Hey, thanks for the question. Look, sorry, probably didn't make it very clear. Let me just show you what I mean.

Okay? So when you install WordPress fresh out the box, you'll see that under posts, you'll have one post called Hello World. That's always there.

And under pages, you'll have a privacy policy page, which is a set draft, and you'll have a sample page. com, you'll see there's nothing on that page other than a post called Hello World. And the reason for that is when you go to settings and you go to reading, you'll see that the homepage displays your latest post.

So all that means is that out of the box, you got a default page, which is automatically generated by the theme, and it just shows your latest posts. So the video I made was actually to show you how you could change that to make it a page on whatever you want. So to save you going back and looking at that video.

If you want to do that, you just go to pages, you can create a new page, you can call it homepage, and then you put your content here. You can do whatever you want with that page, whatever template you use, whatever page you use, and then you simply publish the page. If you head back to your admin, go to settings, reading, and this Is where now you can change your homepage displays away from your latest post to your homepage displays the new homepage that we've just created.

And then you click Save Changes and then if you go and view the site, let's refresh that, you get your static page. You can put whatever you want there instead of displaying the latest post. So hopefully that helps.

So yeah, so hopefully that makes a bit more sense now. I should have covered it off in the original video, hopefully, but yeah. So let me know in the comments if you want more basic WordPress tips like this.

I'm happy to create more videos. Cheers!
