Everyone telling you ranking on Google doesn't matter anymore is wrong.

When somebody asks a question and an AI overview pops up, where do you think that answer comes from? Google. The same pages that rank are the same pages that AI pulls from.

You don't get cited in AI by ignoring search. You get in by being good at it. And Google said this directly, there's no separate AI SEO.

The work that ranks you is the work that gets you cited.

And yes, AI changed the informational questions, but when someone searches plumber near me, what happens still hasn't really changed. Our efforts have been the biggest revenue generator for a lot of our clients.
