From analyzing the top 100 apps, only apps support dark mode. Even then, 12% of this half force you to go to settings to enable it. Other apps are disabling support work for it entirely. Simplicity beats complexity. Look at these two create account screens. Which do you think drove more signups, the one with the beautiful video background or the simple gray one? Beautiful one was distracting. In critical flows, clarity beats aesthetics every time. Simple, straightforward design gets more conversions.
